Local Suicide announces debut album, ‘Eros Anikate’
Alongside this, they’ve dropped single ‘Jam Bounce Release’
Berlin-based duo Local Suicide has announced debut album, ‘Eros Anikate’, due for release on May 13 via their own imprint Iptamenos Discos.
Prior to the album release, though, they’ve just dropped their latest single ‘Jam Bounce Release’. A collaboration with Theus Mago, the track is a tongue-in-cheek affair which jibes at how ‘easy’ it is to release a dance track nowadays.
‘Jam Bounce Release’ incorporates panning synths and vocals, embracing “what a dance track is through and through” to create a dance-floor ready cut.

"We produced Jam Bounce Release during Theus Mago's last visit in Berlin," the duo explain. "It is all about how quick and easy it is nowadays to create a track and release it."
"We hooked up with visionary Madrid based artist Ezekiel Monjes who created this video with cinematographer Rafa Garroyo and his crew."
“The video performance is an invitation to let our spirit take control of our bodies," explains Monjes. "The joy, the rage, the freedom are powerful sensations that live - at times - in different dimensions of our reality. The spaces we inhabit tend to make us still, unhappy and purposeless. The body belongs to ourselves; to release all passionate emotions is one of the most therapeutic and healthy ways to embody one’s own life."

The upcoming album, ‘Eros Anikate’, is dubbed to showcase the pair’s ‘technodisco’ sound which blends retro with modern musical elements, baselines and mysterious vocals. It’ll include an array of collaborators and friends to add the final touch.
