The DJ has ended his half decade at the station
Skream's residency at Radio 1 has come to a close after nearly five years at the station.
The announcement appears to have come as a surprise to him, though. He tweeted a link to his latest show earlier today alongside the comment: "Didn't realise this was gonna be my last @BBCR1 show. If you haven't checked it give it a listen."
He initially started out on the station playing alongside Benga in January 2011, before going solo in 2014. Benga was one of the others he thanked, saying his fellow south Londonder made it "extremely special" for him.
His final slot doesn't disappoint, either. Skream provides two hours of heat featuring tracks from artists such as Cajmere, Fatima Yamaha, Sparky and DJ Deep & Roman Poncet.
