Liem & Eddie Ness

Misty stomper from the Lehult guys

Liem and Eddie Ness are part of the Lehult crew we featured in our Guide series in June. The Hamburg-based label is only two-years-old but there's plenty of super lush house releases on it to warrant its status as one of our favourite imprints around at the minute.

'If Only' by Liem is arguably the biggest tune yet, too. It's joyous, slammin' house at its best and has found its way into the sets of Kerri Chandler, Jeremy Underground and Moodymann. With DJs of their stature playing your tune, you know you're doing well.

Eddie Ness has had a hand in two releases so far, firstly the collaborative 'Let's Get Playa' with Liem and Johan Kaseta and then this year's 'Afro' 12". On that, we're treated to a tribal drum-packed title track, the creamy 'Ombré' and 'Menjou', a beaming slow burner.

Liem and Eddie are hooking up again for 'Hardcore Will Never Dry', three tracks of tough, punchy house, but still with all the sweet, delicate elements that makes Lehult what it is. Our exclusive, 'JPR', is the hardest of the three as through its stormy rumbles and infectious acid squelches. It may not be the typically melodic and chilled Lehult sound we've got used to, but it sure is as high in class.

The 'Hardcore Will Never Dry' EP is out on September 2
