Lenzman

The soulful Dutch producer gives us a taste of his new label

When it comes to drum 'n' bass oozing with slick, swooning swagger, Lenzman is a producer up there with the best.

The Dutch artist has been firing out tender, mind-soothing liquid for almost 10 years now, from his lush edit of Alicia Keys' 'Unthinkable' to 2010's 'Open Page' with Riya, a vocalist in demand by the best producers in d'n'b. 2014 saw Lenzman release debut album 'Looking Out The Stars' on Metalheadz, filled with the type of tunes with just described and a few sharper-edged cuts showing he's got a meaner edge to his production, too.

After a host of work for 'headz, C.I.A, Soul:r and more, he's launched his own imprint, The North Quarter, to release material, as he describes, "all things soulful". Like-minded producers are set to step up on it, but the label boss is up first with the 'All For You' EP featuring Redeyes, DRS and Dutch turntablist DJ Rockid.

Before the EP is fully available on September 23, we've got the exclusive of DRS collaboration 'Grateful'. Lenz's production packs some solid low-end bass as elegant piano chords intertwine and DRS delivers the lyrics with his growling Mancunian accent. We can't wait to hear the rest of the EP.
