The Lab LDN is Mixmag and Smirnoff Sound Collective's weekly live stream, powered by Void Acoustics, where we showcase the finest DJs direct from our world famous office party.
This week we hand control over to Last Japan, one of the freshest-sounding producers to have emerged out of London in recent memory. His hybrid sounds draw on all things bass-heavy and he’s gained serious support from the likes of Zomby, Benji B and Mumdance.
He first emerged on our radar after dropping his self released mixtape ‘Ride With Us’, a killer record which we gave album of the month back in June 2014. Since then he’s set up his own label Circadian Rhythms, released limited white label ‘Harca’ and thrown down a whole host of on point sets that combine 2-step garage, grime, funky and dubstep to full effect.
