Lane 8 set to embark on a phone-free North American tour

A full series of shows and a new EP

Lane 8's inaugural 'phone-free, photo-free' This Never Happened show has inspired a full North American tour.

The event's concept is simple, but impactful; fans are prohibited from using phones or taking photos on the dancefloor. Tech and social media obsessed attendees were left with nothing but the music and their surroundings, a call to action for today's youth culture.

The full This Never Happened tour will hit 18 cities including Boston, Houston, Miami, Toronto, Los Angeles and more.

Running from September until December, the progress driven series will feature all extended sets by Lane 8.

Designed to create a community and cultural movement among music lovers, Lane 8 cites that he had "never seen so many smiling faces, so many people meeting each other" than at the first This Never Happened show.

Along with the tour announcement, the techno producer also dropped a two-track EP on the This Never Happened label.

The first original, titled 'Crush', premiered on Mixmag earlier this week, while 'Divina' debuted yesterday via Lane 8's SoundCloud.
