Kyiv club night Cxema is relaunching as a daytime party next month
The last event in April 2022 was postponed due to Russia’s invasion
Kyiv club night Cxema - translated to Scheme from Ukrainian - has announced that it will relaunch in May as a daytime party.
Kicking off on May 13, the next Cxema party will be held in an undisclosed location with a 500-person capacity. Details were announced on Thursday via their Telegram Channel.
“Cxema kicks off the Daytime party season,” reads a post from the club night. “The first event will take place on May 13, 2023. Ticket holders for the postponed Cxema can register for the May party via the Telegram chatbot.”

Just 500 places opened up for the next event which will remain available until April 30, while unregistered tickets can be used for the next event or another during the coming season.
The last party from Cxema was announced on February 9, 2022, just weeks before Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and was set to take place in April, but was subsequently postponed because of the full-scale invasion.
Attendees who had previously bought tickets for Cxema’s April 2022 event criticised the club night on social media, complaining that refunds were never given for the postponed event.

Since Cxema’s last event, the club night launched a monthly radio show on NTS with mixes from the likes of Tofudj, Stanislav Tolkachev, Maryana Klochko, and more.
Cxema first started in 2014 as an underground event taking place in post-industrial locations across Kyiv. Speaking to Mixmag on the event series in 2019, Ukrainian DJ Dmitriy Avksentiev explained: “Cxema is a platform that gave a certain vision of my work.”
“It gave me access to a huge base of people and still influences me to this day, just like everyone who attends these events,” he said. “When I go as a guest, I'm wildly impressed and inspired while listening to our local guys.”
