Kurupt FM lay it down in BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge
So Solid Crew's 'Oh No' and Stormzy's 'Shut Up' were covered
The Kurupt FM crew's hot streak goes on.
A week after selling out Koko in London, the grime and garage-loving People Just Do Nothing lot took over Radio 1's Live Lounge to deliver versions of So Solid Crew's 'Oh No' and Stormzy's 'Shut Up'.
With Grindah, Beats and Chabuddy G on mic and Steves, Fantasy and Decoy on keyboard, recorder and drums, plenty of gags are thrown around in between their neat lyrical reworking of a garage classic and recent grime smash.
"Look at them fingers. The places they've been, the sights they've seen," is just one gem from Grindah aimed at keyboardist Fantasy, although the banter wasn't to the taste of everyone that was tuned in.
Complaining tweets rolled into Radio 1's Twitter account, many obviously not completely in tune with Kurupt's tongue-in-cheek vibe, with some even congratulating presenter Clara Amfo for her way of dealing with them. However, there were plenty who loved it, too.
Clara had to apologise at points, but she doesn't look too offended when she's laughing in the below video.
