Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
Chic make the shortlist as well
Electronic music is finally making a push for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as Kraftwerk (pictured), Depeche Mode and Chic have been nominated for the 2017 ballot.
In order to be nominated, an artist must have released their first record at least 25 years ago. Only the top five out of all the nominees get inducted and Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode and Chic are up against the likes of Pearl Jam, Janet Jackson and Tupac Shakur among others.
The inductees will be announced in December and a ceremony will be held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York some time in April 2017.
