KiNK remixes Radio Slave's 'Children Of The E'
The Bulgarian-based tech wizard takes on a breakbeat classic
KiNK has remixed Radio Slave's 2014 track 'Children Of The E', which comes as part of a remix package that includes reimagined versions of the cut by Rachel, Gerd Janson and Justin Van Der Volgen.
The rave-throwback original's tone was dark. But the assorted remixes on the EP, out July 14, take the track in a warmer, brighter direction. As with the original, the EP will come out on Gerd Janson's Running Back label.
KiNK's take on the track injects it with a sharp burst of rave futurism. Flashing synths dominate but a beefed out kick drum keeps the cut on the straight and narrow before one of KiNK's signature ethereal breakdowns kicks in.
It gets better. The release also includes a Gerd Janson edit of a KiNK and Rachel remix. This one's pure piano house and sticks with the breakbeat-infused feel of the original.
