KI/KI releases sophomore EP, 'slash 010'

The record is the tenth release on her imprint slash, embodying her acid-leaning sonic identity

KI/KI has released her sophomore EP, 'slash 010'.

The record marks the 10th release on her slash label, an imprint founded with the intention to champion new, cutting edge trance and techno whilst embracing 90s sounds by housing music from herself, emerging artists and back-in-the-day heavyweights.

'slash 010' brings acid techno to the forefront - a sound increasingly embodied by the Dutch musician across her artistry having recently launched her new 5HRS of ACID live show - with opener '5 Mins Of Acid' most obviously doing so through its pulsating bass, dreamlike pads and ferocious stabs of acid.

"I literally made this track on the way to pitch Australia last year and because i wanted to play an ‘acid banger’ in my set," she wrote on her Instagram. "[I was] not at all thinking of releasing it back then but here we are."

Elsewhere on the EP, 'Don't Stop' is an equally driving affair, once more welcoming euphoric soundscapes, soaring synth pads and, of course, lashings of acid. There are even different versions of the track to indulge in; you can opt for the 'Drums & Acid' mix, or the 'Emotional Mix'.
