Kelela and Radiohead feature on debut Deviation compilation
Flying Lotus, Jamie xx and Skepta also appear on the tracklist
Benji B has unveiled his debut mix and compilation, ‘Deviation Volume 1’, set to land on December 16 through Deviation Music.
The three-CD outing showcases key tracks aired on Benji B’s radio show and at his club nights. It features exclusives from Hudson Mohawke and Karriem Riggins, with further artists including Sampha, Jam City, A.K. Paul, Kelela (pictured), D’Angelo, James Blake, Hunee and Pusha T, as well as the label’s first two signees Ta’East and GILA.
Speaking about the release, Benji B said: “Deviation has come to represent a particular sound; one that’s been shaped by the club night, radio show and DJ sets. It’s listening music and music for the dance floor. There are so many facets and so much history to this sound, but I decided to make this first compilation a very current snapshot of what Deviation sounds like in 2016.”
