More voodoo gold from Ultramjaic

At the end of last year we featured Ultramjaic as one of our favourite labels of 2015. Everything about the imprint screams creativity. Whether that's the incredible artwork by Pilar Xeta or the contstant showcasing of new, unknown talent, Jimmy Edgar has found the sweet spot and he's working it.

Next up to release via the label is Reggie Johnson aka Keeno18 and the Atlanta football-star has swapped the pig-skin for the studio as he gears up to drop the 'Channel 18' EP later this month.

As a debut EP, it's an ambitious project but one that Johnson pulls off with six inventive and beautifully weird club tracks that all bear the sound of Ultramajic. This futuristic, other-worldly sound is best displayed on 'Arcturian' and we've got the first spin.

The glistening bass cut is littered with stabbing bass notes and floaty riffs that are set against kicks that pound and melodies so soft, you may as well be on a cloud. It's a fantastic addition to the Ultramajic discography and spells the start of an exciting new adventure for Keeno18.

The 'Channel 18' EP by Keeno18 will be released via Ultramajic on February 26
