Juxta Position - 8/10

Mistress Recordings drops another impressive collection of techno, this time via Marquis Hawkes under his Juxta Position alias.

As with previous Mistress releases this is high quality with varied styles across the four tracks. 'Sweat Box' is sombre, driving number with a cavernous atmosphere that will submerge you in its deep, nuanced layers. Way down deep, beyond the bassline and the bleeps lies a collection of strange effects – if you listen carefully.

It's neat touches like this that make this a winner.
