Jozef K & Winter Son feat Flora Cruz - 8/10

Kim Ann Foxman hasn't been doing a bad job with her new label, Firehouse Recordings. For this new release she's signed up a neat little rhythmic roller from Manchester bods, Jozef K and Winter Son. This is their ode to Sankeys' famous Tribal Sessions party, classic vibes from start to end with shimmering ravey keys, a real tribal-esque set of percussion with a bag of old school influences pouring in. Nice to hear a couple of contemporary artists do classic sounds so well, hats off to them.
