Josh Idehen has dropped his debut release, ‘Don’t You Give Up On Me’, with a video soon to follow later next month.
Although his first release, he has previously contributed vocals for various musicians’ albums, and worked across the field of UK jazz and electronic music - experience which he has carried into this debut release.

Alongside glimmers of his jazz and electronic background, the track also moves into a direction involving soulful elements, referred to as ‘impossible to define’ through its exploration of gospel house, rave and spoken word.
“This was the first beat Ludvig Parment [producer] sent me, and I pretty much finished the lyrics by that day's end,” explains Idehan.
“It’s a poem about second chances and forgiving yourself. Maybe it’s just me, but I feel people are too quick with each other these days: I know I’ve been guilty of it at times. This is a plea for a bit more patience with each other, and for me to be a bit more patient with myself.”

On 28 April, an accompanying music video is set to be released. It is dubbed to channel theatrics and emotion of the signal via dance, building on the single’s narrative.
