Jonas Rathsman & Isaac Tichauer

When French Express first came to light a few years ago, people went mad for the tropical strain of sun-kissed house and two of the label's biggest assets were Jonas Rathsman (pictured) and Isaac Tichauer.

Although the imprint may have gone quiet this year, the two flag-bearers certainly haven't, quite the opposite in fact.

Rathsman has been impressing with a steady run of worldwide gigs and releases on Kompakt and Method White while Tichauer has done remixes for RÜFÜS and SG Lewis on top of a fantastic mix for Anjunadeep.

The pair have joined forces to celebrate 15 years of Trunkfunk and the result is a glitzy yet slamming house roller. It comes as part of the label's anniversary compilation and not only do we have the first spin, we've nabbed the track as a free download.

'Rush Hour' features thick kicks, brooding bass tones and mystical synths but it's the second half of the track where everything comes to life. That tropical slant makes a return alongside dwarfing low-end rumbles, making this a cut that keeps you on your toes throughout.
