Jonas Rathsman in The Lab NYC

Kicking off the ELEMENTS tour with an intimate Brooklyn set

The Lab New York is Mixmag and Smirnoff Sound Collective's weekly afterwork party where we stream the best American and international DJs from the intimate bar next to our Brooklyn office. This week we have a very special Thursday (February 25) lab session with Jonas Rathsman.

Rathsman has been notorious in his career for consistently pushing the boundaries and putting out progressively exceptional work. The Swedish producer launched Disclosure’s ‘Method White’ label with Wolfsbane, and has successfully released on Kompakt’s KX imprint and more recently DIYNAMIC Music with the his monster track, ‘Cobalt’.

Jonas was named the ‘Future Star of 2013’ by Pete Tong and completed his debut Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1 last year. He has remixed the likes of Sam Smith, Duke Dumont and Tensnake, and has gained support from industry curators Annie Mac and Jason Bentley. Along with a slew global tours, he has become a household name associated with undeniable talent in the dance music scene.

Spearheading his special ELEMENTS tour this month, Jonas promises to bring a selection of strict funk and only the best unreleased music to this week's lab. Following his performance in The Lab NYC, Jonas will be kicking off his ELEMENTS tour at Good Room Brooklyn. Listen to his latest mix below for a taste of his impressive style.
