Johannes Klingebiel drops remix album 'For Now'
The lead remix is from Prins Thomas, one of his idols
Johannes Klingebiel has unveiled a remix pack, 'For Now', which consists of remixes of his original tracks.
A key highlight for listeners is Prins Thomas' "diskomiks" reworking of Klingebiel's 'Flight', which adds groovy bass and layers of synth to create a funky cut. Other names who have provided remixes include Katerina, Benjamin Frohlich, Suricata and Sekitova.
Klingebiel also provides a remix of his own of his track 'Peace' - with its edition being referred to as the '3AM Illegal Bunker Rave', indicating the energy to be expected from listening to the track.

"Everyone of these remixes surprised me in their very own charming way," Klingebiel explains. "Katerina made an underworld-do-trance version of 'Lost Day', Sekitova went full breakbeat for 'Alone', Suricata did the opposite by taking all the breakbeats out of 'Break Something' and turning it into a soothing piano-led trip, while Benjamin Froehlich took the same tune to the big room, and Prins Thomas shot 'Flight' into his space disko.
"All of those routes I’d have never thought of taking for these tunes, and they feel all the more rewarding because of that. They inspired me to do an upside-down version of 'Peace' myself, throwing rhytch’s voice into the big pot with the magic potion and letting it trip through an underground bunker rave.”
The original edition of the titlular track infuses techno into experimental sounds, with the central theme of both this track and its remixes as a "state of transition and provisional spaces".
