Jeff Mills scores the lunar surface for his Outer Limits series on NTS

Scheduled to air on March 14 at 14:00 GMT

Earlier this year, techno legend Jeff Mills announced a year-long radio collaboration with the iconic London-based Radio Station NTS and NASA for a six-part series titled ‘Jeff Mills: The Outer Limits’.

Featuring original music from Mills, performances from classically trained musicians and guest lectures from astrophysicists, the show aims to explore the "intricacies of time and space".

Airing the first episode of the series titled ‘Black Hole’ this past January, the second chapter is centered around “the fictional story of NASA’s ‘Apollo 18’ mission”. The official Apollo 18 mission was shut down by the US government in 1970 due to budgetary restrictions, but Mills’ abstract radio episode imagines what the mission's journey to the lunar surface would have entailed through a full-hour of daunting and brilliant original compositions.

'Episode Two: Apollo 18' is scheduled to air via NTS on March 14, 14:00 GMT.
