Jeff Mills cancelled a gig mid-set after being bottled

One person always ruins it for everybody

Jeff Mills cancelled a gig mid-set after being hit by a bottle thrown from the crowd at Spanish club Area 42.

Mills was headlining the opening of the 4000-capacity venue near Toledo on Sunday morning when, according to Spanish clubbing website Techno Experience, a bottle was aimed at the DJ after a power cut hit the club.

It's not known if the Detroit originator was hurt in the incident and he's yet to put out a statement, but Area 42 took to Facebook to condemn the punter’s actions.

“Around 4:30, when all we enjoyed what was being the beginning of season dreamed, came up with this unfortunate moment.

“We can't understand how someone can attend a place, where the sole purpose is to enjoy, and make this type of action.”

Techno Experience called the person who threw the bottle a “creep” and someone “who does not represent our culture”.

Brazilian DJ Fernanda Martins took over after Mills left the stage to continue the night.
