Italian club to close after ecstasy death

The club is due to close for four months after an ecstasy related death

Cocoricò, the club famed for its Louvre like pyramid has announced that it is to immediately close for four months since the death of a 16-year old who was under suspicion of taking ecstasy.

Heralded as one of Fatboy Slim's favourite venues, the club hosted parties for up to 6,000 people and was a popular destination for clubbers from all over Italy and Europe.

The club situated on the Adriatic coast also had an exciting summer programme lined up which boasted sets from the likes of Richie Hawtin, Loco Dice and Skrillex.

The police have announced that the club will face immediate closure since the death of a 16 year old holidaymaker last month.

Since the death the police have also announced that there had been an ongoing investigation for possible tax evasion and that the club had previously experienced over a hundred drug related incidents, which highlights the police's eagerness to close the Italian superclub.
