XL will forever be known as the record label that launches underground talent into the mainstream. It’s crossover successes are legendary: Dizzee Rascal, Prodigy, The xx, Giggs. While it specialises in big album releases (see Adele, Radiohead and MIA, among others), the label started as a niche dance label back in the late 80s and it continues to champion new talent today.
