Although it may no longer be in operation, 50 Weapons built a reputation as an imprint specialising in high-octane, rugged techno. Helmed by Modeselektor and running as an offshoot of Monkeytown, the label ran from 2006-2016 and released 50 EPs. Records from Laurent Garnier, Marcel Dettmann, Paula Temple and Benjamin Damage were all aimed at the floor and for the last decade the German label reigned supreme. They shut up shop this year with a series of parties and final vinyl releases. Gone but not forgotten.
