I Am The Cosmos (Lumigraph remix)

I Am The Cosmos construct immersive worlds with their music. The Dublin duo’s debut album ‘Monochrome’ on Elastic Witch combined low-slung vocals, scuzzy percussion and fizzing synthpop lines, forming infectious productions that still retained a dark undertone.

Their next outing is a single titled ‘Letting It Go’ which arrives through Happy Valley Records on July 1, backed with a remix from fellow Irishman Lumigraph.

The producer made his bow through First Second Label in 2012, and has since been tapped by Mister Saturday Night and Major Problems for EPs, while a full-length record came out on Opal Tapes in 2013. It showed an artist skilled in pushing house music to experimental edges, with tracks like ‘Dorsia’ fitting snugly into the UK label’s impressive discography.

‘Letting It Go (Lumigraph remix)’ opens with heavy-landing percussive hits and strong synth chords, before building into a swirling, intricate mesh of warped vocals, driving basslines and skittering melodies that teeters on the threshold of buoyant and sinister. Listen below.
