Hudson Mohawke releases video for 'Very First Breath'

The track will feature on the artist's second album, 'Lantern', set to be released in June

Hudson Mohawke has released the official video for 'Very First Breath', the lead single from his upcoming album Lantern.

The video, directed by Sam de Jong, follows an emotional phone conversation between what appear to be two lovers, before concluding with their dramatic final encounter.

Mohawke has previously stated the personal signifance of the track to him:

"'Very First Breath' was something fresh for me. I'd been touring on the same circuit for a couple of years with Irfane and I had been so busy on TNGHT stuff I was itching to work on a more song structured record…The album flows through the passage of the day and in my head, I see this song as the very beginning of the record. The sun just coming up. It was important this was the first track people hear."

The video follows the release of Boys Noize's official remix of the track earlier this week.

Lantern is set to be released on June 15 via Warp Records.
