Héctor Oaks unveils sophomore album 'Fuego Universal'

Héctor Oaks has shared his sophomore album, 'Fuego Universal'.

The record is described rather succinctly in its press release as "positive confusion", with this terminology perhaps epitomising the body of work most accurately. Known for his explorations across the spectrum of techno soundscapes, the Spanish producer and DJ blends drum machines, sequencers and synths to push his new album across boundaries beyond the genre he's associated with.

Created with late-night dancefloors in mind, and two years in the making between Madrid, Berlin and LA, the album features a collection of vocal collaborators including Patrick Mason, SITA, Azidkandy and Ill Pekeño and Ergo Pro.

Expect Latin funk, high BPMs, deep rap, and even subtle odes to Detroit in a release intended to push boundaries of techno into pop, rap and Latin circles.

Oaks is also said to be taking live performances of 'Fuego Universal' to selected international stages following its first live debuts at Sonar Barcelona and Lisbon, with further information TBA.
