Hector is collaborating with Nicole Moudaber for the first EP on his new label
The tracks will be available on VLack early next year
Hector has announced the release of his new techno-inspired label VLack.
The first EP, 'Retrosaw', will be a three-part collaboration with powerhouse Nicole Moudaber.
Available from January 15, the release features 'Retrosaw Dub', a sub and bass-heavy cut with subtle percussion. ‘Retrosaw 2’ is all moody synths and hi-hats, while final track 'Busted' is loaded with distorted mechanical sounds.
Talking about his new label, Hector said: “I remember Craig Richards would come into the store, and play some of the most diverse vinyl we could find. It was always a challenge to dig out the experimental stuff ready for him to test out at Fabric and he would play them in such a special way.
"Now is the time for new challenges. My mind is open, and I am finding myself experimenting with sounds I was exposed to in my earlier DJ career and I am inspired by this. I’m ready. Now is the time for VLack.”
