'Head To The Sky' with Joy Anonymous' euphoric new single

The track epitomises the euphoria rife within the London group's live sets

Joy Anonymous have this week shared their latest single, 'Head To The Sky'.

The summer-ready cut embodies the euphoria that swells from the live sets of the group, as hard-hitting house rhythms interlace with a rising hook.

Having teased the track at Glastonbury last month, the record particularly lauded attention in May, at the group's sold-out show at EartH in London.

"We started this tune with our friends Barney and Fred in the basement of Imogen Heaps' house," the duo explain. "Barney had this sample of 'Optimistic' by Sounds Of Blackness and we took it from there. We started playing it out in different forms over the past year and it quickly became the Joy Anonymous anthem. We use it as the moment we introduce new members into Joy Anonymous as we raise our hands in salute.

"The original sample expresses overcoming problems by keeping on, and keeping your head up. We wanted to keep that feeling in this record and by its reaction, people get that same feeling when hearing it today."

'Head To The Sky' continues the momentum of Joy Anonymous' previous April release, '404' - and follows collaborations and performances with names including Fred Again.., Jyoty, Skrillex, The Blessed Madonna and Four Tet - as the group heads into festival season.

Over the coming months, they are set to perform at Four Tet's All Dayer in London, Connect Music Festival in Edinburgh, and Life Is Beautiful Festival in Las Vegas.
