HE.SHE.THEY launch new app and ‘safer’ social networking hub
The first episode of the collective's new podcast is also out now
Known for their inclusive outlook on dance music and raves, HE.SHE.THEY. have started their own social networking hub with an accompanying chat app.
Co-founders Steven Braines and Sophia Kearney say the aim of this new app is to offer a "safer place to chat, make new friends and even date online." This is done by checking and verifying accounts using real people rather than algorithm.
There is also a zero policy on homophobia, transphobia, misogyny, disablism, body shaming and racism on the app. Users can report hate speech to an actual person if it occurs.

The app also provides treats such as discounts and early releases on HE.SHE.THEY. tickets, clothing plus exclusive content.
This news comes alongside the first episode of their new podcast ‘HE.SHE.THEY.’ released December 1 with guest Amy Jandrisevits who runs the ‘A Doll Like Me’ charity, making bespoke dolls for children with unique attributes.
Steven says: “With diversity, inclusion and community, at the heart of everything that HE.SHE.THEY. does, we wanted to disrupt the social media space as we have in the arts. We all know social media sites and dating apps can be toxic with anonymous trolls ready to spit hate, but we also know that these apps can bring many positives if you can lessen the negatives.”

Both the site and chat app are available on Apple and Android and are free to sign up and download. Register for the app here.
