Guy Gerber and DJ Harvey debut Rumors in LA Chinatown
Rumors marks the venue's first ticketed dance event
Guy Gerber's Rumors party has come a long way since its humble beginnings as a free Ibiza beach party. Now, with DJ Harvey, Gerber is bringing his party to Los Angeles's Chinatown.
The event is slated to be the first ticketed underground dance music event held at the outdoor Gin Ling Way area in the city's Chinatown on June 11. The party kicks off at 6pm and is scheduled to end at midnight with extended sets from both Gerber and DJ Harvey.
The arrival of Rumors in Los Angeles proper is a rare, welcomed sign that perhaps the city is opening up to the possible return of dance music shows after years of turmoil between major promoters like HARD and Insomniac.
