Gunman at large after shooting at the Tea Party Festival

Police are investigating as the shooter is on the run

A 27-year-old man is currently in stable condition after being shot in the chest at the Tea Party Festival in Windsor.

The gunman, who hasn't yet been arrested, is reported to have opened fire in the VIP area of the event at 8.30pm on Saturday following a dispute on the dancefloor.

The police have described it as an "isolated incident" and are urging anyone with relevant information regarding the incident to come forward.

“I would like to appeal to anyone who was there who witnessed the incident to contact police, particularly if you have any photographs or video footage, which you may have taken on your mobile phone, of what happened,” said investigating officer Detective Constable Tom Parker. “This occurred when the VIP tent would have been busy, so if you were there and took a photo you may have captured the incident.”

Tickets for VIP access cost £40 for the Royal Windsor Racecourse festival which featured a line-up that included Hannah Wants, Roska, Mistajam, Sigma and DJ EZ.
