Gorillaz share a trippy, faceted character exposé with 'The Book Of Noodle'

An upcoming album inches closer...

With fans worldwide eagerly waiting for the next Gorillaz album, the animated musical act has taken to social media to showcase proper teasers and previews.

The cartoon talents' last foray into the spotlight came with 'Plastic Beach', issued during the pre-social media craze of 2010. The new, exciting outlets of digital interactivity have guided the Gorillaz to launch an enticingly vague Instagram account, and now, a brand new multi-media origins tale via Twitter.

Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett initially revealed the new album was in production in October 2015 and have confirmed collaborations with the likes of De La Soul, Snoop Dogg, composer Jean Michel-Jarre and Vic Mensa. As the album's release seems to be fast approaching, they are diving deep into the character and band history.

The Book Of Noodle is a 12 piece mini-content series pushed out today featuring a cover, story text and eerily vibrating visuals of geishas, masked bystanders and one brutally decapitated shapeshifter. The mind-turning origins tale is odd and imaginative, perspectively off-putting, but artistically sharp.
