Google's new Pixel Buds will translate over 40 languages in real time

Welcome to the future

Google has just debuted its new earbuds, the Pixel Buds.

The release is the behemoth brand's first wireless earphones, designed to be compatible with the Pixel smartphone.

One of the most exciting features of the new Pixel Buds is the technology's access to Google Translate, which will enable users to converse and hear translations of 40 different languages in real time.

In the live demonstration, one user spoke in English, while the other spoke in Swedish and had a full conversation with extremely limited lag time.

Other specs include Bluetooth connectivity, a five-hour battery life plus a chargeable case with 24 hours of use and access to Google Assistant with the price point of $159.

The Google Pixel Buds will be available later this year.

See the earbuds' translation capabilities in action in the video demonstration below, around the 1:00 mark.
