GoldLink features on new Kelela remix
The D.C. rapper provides a guest verse on Louie Lastic’s version of ‘Rewind’
Our current cover star Annie Mac premiered a new Louie Lastic remix of Kelela's 'Rewind' on BBC Radio 1 last night, featuring a guest vocal spot from GoldLink (pictured).
Kelela has proven a popular source material for remixers recently, with Kindness unveiling two edits of 'Cut 4 Me' and 'The High' last week.
Soulection affiliate Louie Lastic transforms 'Rewind' with garage-styled production, and GoldLink slots in adeptly with some fast paced bars, which bodes well for his planned collaboration with Craig David.
Kelela joined Annie Mac live on air to share her thoughts on the remix, revealing: "It's everything that I wanted. He's so smart. The remix is so smart. It's one of the smartest ones that I've heard in a long time."
