Glastonbury launches ticket raffle for 2024 festival in aid of people affected by conflict
All proceeds will be donated British Red Cross, Oxfam and War Child for humanitarian aid
Glastonbury will give away tickets to this year's festival as part of a Crowdfunder campaign raising emergency funds for people affected by conflict.
Announced on Friday (March 1), the team behind the Somerset-based festival confirmed that 20 pairs of tickets are up for grabs — with all proceeds to be donated to UK charities working in conflict zones, including the British Red Cross, Oxfam and War Child.
The campaign is aimed at supporting the charities in delivering humanitarian aid to “those who need it most," according to a statement.
Each prize draw entry costs £10, with no upper entry limit. Winners are to be drawn at 12:00PM on Thursday, March 28.
In exchange for donating, each contributor will be in for a chance to win two tickets for this year’s sold-out edition of Glastonbury Festival
The famously hard-to-get-a-hold of tickets went on sale in November, and sold out in "minutes", according to reports.

At the time of writing, the Crowdfunder has reached 93% of its £350,000 target after launching less than a week ago. According to Far Out, the target has already been raised after beating the initial goal of £100,000.
In a statement on the Crowdfunder page, Oxfam said donations will go towards its "emergency response fund”, supporting those in Ukraine and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The UK charity is currently appealing to support relief efforts in Gaza and Yemen.
War Child writes that it currently works in 14 countries, including “Afghanistan, Gaza, Syria and the DRC”. The charity works with children in areas of conflict to promote safety, child rights, mental health support, education and more.
The British Red Cross’ statement reads “All funds raised will be donated to the British Red Cross Disaster Fund”. Currently working in over 190 countries worldwide, the British Red Cross responds to a variety of emergencies including conflict and natural disasters.
