Glastonbury organisers tease "big event" away from current site

Emily Eavis revealed the news on Twitter

After talk of Glastonbury possibly having to leave Worthy Farm, festival organiser Emily Eavis has teased future plans.

Eavis has said a "big event" away from the current site is being planned for 2018 or 2019, though she didn't give too much away with her tweet.

This obviously led to a flurry of questions from her followers, including one which asked whether the new event would mean 2018 wouldn't be a fallow year. Eavis then replied: "It's possible, but it's a bit too early to confirm at the moment."

Adding that the organisers are focused on making this year - which features Carl Cox, Muse and Skepta - the best yet, her tweets follow comments from her dad Michael who said the festival may be outgrowing Worthy Farm.

Glasto's also promised to book a lot more women this year than previous years, also introducing reusable steel cups.
