The Glastonbury 2020 headliner odds have been revealed
Daft Punk? Elton John? Fleetwood Mac?
With this year’s Glastonbury Festival just gone, we’ve had a bath, a lot of sleep, washed our dusty clothes, and now we're already buzzing for next year.
2020 will be the festival’s 50th birthday, so there are rumours that Michael and Emily Eavis have huge line-up plans in the pipeline to celebrate in style.
With it being a landmark anniversary, there's sure to be a lot of betting activity going on regarding the headliners. The odds for these are out now, with Fleetwood Mac and Elton John (6/4) the favourites to top the Pyramid Stage on Sky Bet. Fleetwood Mac have said they'd be more than interested in playing the festival, but Michael Eavis said the band's booking fees are still a bit steep for the festival when he spoke on the Acoustic Stage this year.
Daft Punk and The Chemical Brothers, who headlined the Other Stage this year, are 10/1 to headline. Paul McCartney has long been rumoured to be a headliner in 2020 and he's currently at 3/1, while Madonna is 4/1. Foals are 10/3, Kendrick Lamar is 7/1 and Beyonce is 10/1.
Emily Eavis said in 2017 that Glasto already had two headliners confirmed for 2020, hinting at a mix of industry legends and newcomers. Speaking to NME, she said, “But, a lot can happen between now and then, and it’s just about seeing who comes through and who would be right for us.”
