Glasgow’s La Cheetah Club announces new in-house imprint, Outer Zone

Solid Blake tapped for first EP release, featuring a remix from DJ Stingray

Glasgow’s infamous, intimate basement venue, La Cheetah Club, is launching its own in-house record label, Outer Zone.

Over the years, La Cheetah has played host to some of the most influential names in electronic music, whilst helping to support the growth of local talent.

The first artist tapped for a release on the label is the Glaswegian DJ and producer Solid Blake. With her ‘Mario EP’ set to follow on from her work as 1/3 of the Copenhagen based Apeiron Crew, expect glowing techno and a remix from DJ Stingray to boot when it drops in July.

According to the club’s owner and resident DJs, “Emma (Solid) Blake is originally from Glasgow and is a long time friend of the club. When we heard her tracks, we knew instantly that we wanted to get them out there. Remix duties fall to DJ Stingray, who was actually the first act we booked when we started running parties together in 2011. He has been a long-standing inspiration to us and is a massive influence on Emma’s music”
