Gesaffelstein unveils new album 'Maryland'

The mysterious countdown wait is over

The mysterious two month long countdown Gesaffelstein posted on his website in July has concluded, with the French producer revealing he is composing the soundtrack to new Alice Winocour directed thriller 'Maryland'.

'Maryland' tells the story of a PTSD suffering ex-soldier who is hired as the bodyguard for wife and child of a high flying Lebanese businessman.

Track titles such as 'Failures' and 'Ultra Violence' suggest this doesn't go exactly to plan, with the album sound characterised by dark, moody basslines and frantic high pitched synths.

The eponymously titled album that features ten new productions is steaming now on Spotify, with a double heavyweight vinyl release landing on September 24.
