Like us, you may have spent countless hours binge watching documentaries about the inaugural home of techno. Similarly, you might live every day in a slight state of distress that you haven't seen techno's history acted out in play.
Luckily for us, none other than Detroit don Omar S’ sister has put an end to this dilemma. Produced by the Omar’s own FXHE records, The Stage Play - Stories of Detroit Techno tells the story we never heard about the true beginnings of the Detroit scene, from the house parties that inspired Juan Atkins to the DJs who never made it.
You’ll have to make your way down to Detroit's Kirby International Institute for this one, which doubles as a community centre offering immigration services to low-income families.
