Frits Wentink

Heist Recordings welcome back the bumpin Dutchman

We've been big fans of Dutchman Frits Wentink ever since we heard his early tracks for Wolf Music. 'Mouse' in particular showcased a spanky, fun-loving house sound that's both highly-danceable and easy on the ears.

Since then he's released more on Wolf Music and also via Bobby Donny, Borg and most-notably, Heist Recordings. The Dutch label run by Detroit Swindle is the perfect fit for Wentink's sound and he will follow up the 'Family Dinner' EP with 'Rising Sun, Falling Coconut'.

Here we have four tracks that apply his signature sound to Detroit Swindle's killer label and the duo have described the track we're premiering today, 'Child Of The Universe', as "an exploration into fuzzy synths and drunk organs".

We couldn't agree more and we'd also add that there are some mighty-mischievous riffs in there that zap around in beautifully-chaotic fashion. Big ups Frits, stay silly and stay fresh.

The 'Rising Sun, Falling Coconut' EP will be released via Heist Recordings on January 25
