Foxtrott (Lunice Remix)
Lunice returns with a tribal trap remix
Last year Canadian artist Marie-Hélène Delorme, better known as Foxtrott, released her debut album 'A Taller Us' via One Little Indian Records and that was the first full showcase of her eclectic sound.
Tracks like 'Colors' and 'Shaky Hands' brought forward stabby, bass-heavy productions layered with sultry, striking vocals and it's a potent mix we're really feeling.
One of the most striking tracks on the album was 'Driven' and now there's a remix to accompany a deluxe edition of the album. Who better to take on her style than one of bass and trap music's brightest lights, Lunice.
The trap-king and former TNGHT member is well-versed when it comes to crafting peak-time dancefloor weapons but for this remix he's chilled things out considerably and applied some tribal tendencies to the original.
It's a glistening, staggered edit that keeps the smooth vocals intact as well as adding heavy-hitting, broken drums and ethereal synths. The melodies are lush and the progression is dreamlike, making this one, essential listening.
The Deluxe edition of 'A Taller Us' will be released on August 5 via One Little Indian Records
