Flume takes home Best Dance Album Grammy
Best Dance Recording has gone to The Chainsmokers for 'Don't Let Me Down'
Flume's career has gone up another level after taking home the Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Album.
The Australian producer's second LP, 'Skin', released last May, was up against strong competition from Louie Vega, Underworld, Tycho and Jean-Michel Jarre in the category.
"This is totally insane," the 25-year-old said in his acceptance speech. "I'm really proud to be here representing Australia, Australian music, at the Grammys on this stage right now."
Flume, real name Harley Streten, went on to thank Sydney label Future Classic and collaborators.
The album's lead single 'Never Be Like You' ft. Kai was also up for Best Dance Recording, but that award went to The Chainsmokers for their track 'Don't Let Me Down'.
The 2017 Grammy Awards ceremony is continuing.
