Floating Points is releasing a new EP in July

'Kuiper' is the follow-up to his album 'Elaenia'

'Kuiper' is the new EP coming from Floating Points this summer.

Out on July 22 via Pluto, the producer says the two-tracker is a result of playing with the band that he toured debut album 'Elaenia' with.

Describing the release, Sam Shepherd says the title track is based upon a foundation of drum machines, while the B-side, 'For Marmish Part II', was written around the same time as 'For Marmish', which appears on his LP.

He adds: "I want to share them because both sides reflect in two tracks where I was right at the start of the 'Elaenia' project, right up to now post LP release, playing live and going on the road with a band. I hope, like I feel, people will find a common strand in the hypnotic nature of both tracks."

The 12" can be pre-ordered here and a performance of 'Kuiper' can be watched below.
