Farley Jackmaster Funk returns to Trax Records with a tribute to the Paris victims
Chicago house that pays homage to the iconic city
Farley Jackmaster Funk, a pioneering figure in the Chicago House movement, will be issuing an especially compelling track for those affected by the recent Paris terrorist attacks.
'France We Send Our House To You' will be Farley's first release on Trax Records in 12 years, enlisting the help of Byron Stingily, label co-founder Screamin' Rachel and the gospel vocal group The Chicago House Music Voices For Peace.
Trax will donate all of the proceeds from the production to Give For France, an aid campaign organized by the nation's biggest grant-making charity, Fondation De France.
The collaborative piece is a prevailing tribute to the power of music. Screamin' Rachels speaks on the project: "Through the years, France has been one of the strongest supporters of our music, and so we want to bring others from around the world together to heal through the love of music".
'France We Send Our House To You' will be released September 29. Listen to the preview below.
