European music and arts festival to set sail next year

The festival takes a round trip to Barcelona, Ibiza and Sête

There's a new music and arts festival on the sea circuit. Today, Shipsomnia unveiled its Mediterranean round trip starting in Barcelona, then stopping in Ibiza and Sête between June 14 and 18 next year.

'Tale of the Kraken' is the latest chapter from Shipsomnia and it'll be the first event of its kind to travel to everyone's favourite party island, Ibiza. After the huge success of this year's inaugural sea trip from Singapore to Phuket, 70 per cent of cabins were snapped up in the first four days of tickets going on sale for 2017.

No artists have been announced just yet, but "the biggest names in the underground scene" have been promised to play on the brand new ship. Those heading on the immersive vacation can also expect a host of private villas throwing secret parties, casinos and special excursions with artists.

One of the most special features, though, will be 'The Shipsomnia Ball', an aquatic, carnival-themed night, contributing towards Shipsomnia's status as 'the mother of all floating festivals'.

Alessandra Maderni, co-Founder and CEO, says: “Our core message, #LiveTheJourney, celebrates the journey of life and aims to inspire and empower millennials to never stop dreaming, learning and exploring.”
