femme culture relaunches with its first release since 2020

All funds are being donated to UN Women and will be split between their Safe Spaces Now programme and their Ukrainian relief efforts

Record label and collective, femme culture, has returned with a rebrand and new compilation: ‘HeForShe x femme culture Vol. 4’, due for release on April 15.

The compilation is in aid of U.N Women, who will split funds raised equally between their Safe Spaces Now programme - which looks to create safe public spaces for all women and girls - and their Ukrainian relief efforts, delivering on the ground for women and those at risk.

It features artists from three continents, with sounds spanning across UK bass, euphoric vocal-driven tunes and leftfield techno.

“It’s so good to be back working on the label again,” explains founder of femme culture, Elkka. “I’ve had a lot going on in the past 12 months and we didn’t get to release a compilation last year due to Covid and a million other things.

“I want to extend the biggest and warmest thank you publicly to every single one of our amazing artists this year, the talent levels are insane. So excited for everyone to listen.”

Artists included in this fourth compilation include Alexis, Bklava and Suchi.

On her involvement, Alexis notes: “I was so stoked to be asked to contribute music for this compilation as I’m a big fan of Elkka and the other artists featuring on the compilation, so saying yes was a no brainer.

“Another huge incentive for doing this is the great cause the funds raised are going towards.”

‘HeForShe Vol.4’ will be available on April 15, pre-order it here.
