Joyous drum 'n' bass for the return of SUNANDBASS Recordings

If you've been a regular at drum 'n' bass raves and festivals this year, it's likely you've heard a gloriously sweet tune with some delectable vocals crooning "we can work things out".

The track - 'Work It Out' - is the work of Freddie Dixon and vocalist Collette Warren and, earlier this month, came out via Marcus Intalex's Soul:r imprint as part of the 'Fourfit EP05' with LSB, Tokyo Prose and Zero T.

FD wowed us a fair bit in 2014, too, grabbing a spot on Metalheadz's 'Platinum Breakz 4' with Lenzman collaboration 'Joanie's Theme' and creating two crystalised groovers in 'Into You' and 'Change Please' for Spearhead Records.

His next release is a joint SUNANDBASS Recordings package with Sardinian producer ArpXP, although the tracks are solo, and we've got the first play of 'Ambra'. As ever from FD, it's a totally joyous track, licked with flittering piano chords and odd bursts of a sax, with a drilling bassline giving it that mean streak.

FD and ArpXP's 'One More Week' EP is out on Sun & Bass on October 30 and you can catch them both playing at Lightbox in London on November 6
