Fango

Weird, wonderful and fucking wild

Italian producer Fango doesn't do things by the book. While his productions can be spotted a mile off in the mix, that's only because he deals in the weird and wonderful every time, not because they're the same.

His wildly eclectic take on techno music has seen him incorporate mutant tones, tribal rhythms and obscure melodies since the start of his career. His 'Despejado' mix of 'Wek' found its way into sets across the world when it dropped, most notably via Anja Schneider, who we've heard roll it out several times now.

His forthcoming EP has also been a top choice for some of the world's most revered selectors and it's easy to see why. Videos of Dixon dropping the questionably-named 'Rectum' at Junction 2 over the weekend lit up Facebook and the crowds visibly lost their shit.

We have a premiere from the same 'Viscera' EP and 'Vena Cava' is another DJ favourite. It's just been included in Jackmaster's upcoming DJ Kicks mix and it's a real gem.

It's deep, brooding and features a gnarly set of stabbing piano chords. The riffs are warped and the horns are super menacing making this perfect if you want a DJ tool that packs something completely different. Expect to hear this a lot this summer.

The 'Viscera' EP by Fango will be released on June 10 via Degustibus
